Venezuela was once one of Latin America’s most prosperous countries, but since 2013 severe economic inflation, government repression, and widespread violence have thrown the country into chaos. Today, 80% of Venezuelan households do not have adequate access to food due to an inflation rate of 10 million percent. According to the UN Refugee agency, over 4 million people have left the country and another 7.8 million are internally displaced. Join us on September 26th at 7PM at Cafe K'Tizo in Wheaton to learn more about what is happening in Venezuela and listen to the stories of Venezuelans who have fled their country.
